B.M.A., Texas Game Warden, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Presents the First Annual Kids’ Fishing Event
On May 14, 2026 B.M.A., Texas Game Warden, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Hosted The First Annual Kids’ Fishing. This event was a tremendous success, bringing together Natalia 3rd-grade students, teachers, families, volunteers, and community partners for a fun and educational day outdoors. Students enjoyed fishing—many catching their first fish—while learning about fishing techniques, water safety, conservation, and teamwork.
Educational presentations from Texas Game Wardens, Texas Parks and Wildlife, BMA, and Medina County Fire & EMS gave students hands-on experiences with wildlife conservation, water management, agriculture, boating safety, and emergency services. Students also enjoyed hay rides, adding to the day’s excitement.
The event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors and volunteers, including Vulcan Materials, MP Septic Services, H-E-B, Roy Mello, Natalia ISD, and many community partners. Their contributions created a memorable experience that fostered outdoor education, conservation, and community involvement. The overwhelming success of the inaugural event has inspired organizers to continue the Kids’ Fish Event as an annual tradition for future students.
